Masamuene's Mac client
Download for Mac
Two downloads and one drag to Applications. The game connects to Clementine and plays online as soon as you press Play.
Version 1.0.2 is out
You need your own Clementine install and a free Clementine account. The app is not notarized by Apple, so macOS asks you to confirm it once with Open Anyway. Step 3 below shows how.
Release

Pick the file that matches your Mac: Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) or Intel. The Intel build is new and has not been tried on a real Intel Mac yet. Looking for something else? The CrossOver option on the home page is not our project.
Two downloads, one drag
Install The short version. The step-by-step guide has every screen.
Step-by-step guide Every step with what you will see on screen, plus troubleshooting.
-
Download 1 of 2
Get the Clementine client
Register at psu-clementine.com and download the Clementine client. Unzip it somewhere you'll remember, for example a Games folder in your home folder.
-
Download 2 of 2
Get our app and drag it
Download our DMG. Open it, then drag the app to Applications. That's the whole install.
-
First open, once
Click Open Anyway
The app is ad hoc signed and not notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks a downloaded copy the first time. That is expected, and you only do it once.
Double-click the app, then click Done on the message. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and scroll down. Click Open Anyway next to "PSU Clementine", then confirm.
-
Nothing else to install
No developer tools needed
The app carries its own compiler to build the game on your Mac, so you do not need Xcode or Apple's Command Line Tools.
-
First launch
Point it at your Clementine folder
Point the app at your Clementine folder. It makes its own copy and never changes your original folder.
The first build took about 22 seconds on my Mac. After that it starts in about a second if nothing changed. Then press Play, log in with your Clementine account and play. Controllers work through macOS.
What you need
- Mac
- Apple Silicon (M1 or newer), or an Intel Mac (new, lightly tested).
- macOS
- 13 or later
- Account
- A free Clementine account, and your own copy of the Clementine client. Neither is part of our download.
- Free disk space
- The app keeps its copy in your home folder. If your Clementine folder is on the same drive (usually the case), the copy costs almost no extra space because it uses an APFS clone. If it's on another drive, the app makes a full copy, roughly 7 GB, plus about 1 GB of headroom.
Updates
The game's own in-game updates are applied inside the app's copy automatically. Your original Clementine folder is not touched.
Uninstall
Drag the app to the Trash. If you also want the copy and the logs gone, delete these two folders.
~/Library/Application Support/PSU Clementine
~/Library/Logs/PSU Clementine
Your Clementine folder is untouched.
Verify your download
The release card above shows the SHA-256 hash. After downloading, run this in Terminal and compare the result to that hash.
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/PSU-Clementine-1.0.2.dmg
If they differ, don't open the file.
Troubleshooting
macOS says the app can't be opened
That is the first-open block for apps that aren't notarized yet. Use the Open Anyway button described in step 3. You only need to do it once.
Is it safe? What's in the DMG?
Only our own tools and runtime. There are no SEGA or Clementine files in it. An audit step fails the build if any game file could ship.
